small sip - start small start big myths
First aha! My morning reading (Day 3 of no daily morning pages) from Sophie Strand includes:
'A written story becomes fixed, but a spoken question invites a response.'
I'm treating the question in this post https://jila.bearblog.dev/i-am-so-afraid-of-starting-small/ in the trending feed as 'spoken' since it spoke to my heart. The question posed was 'why am i so afraid to start small?'
It got me thinking about measurement.
Second aha? Turning 'randomly' to Rumi to read:
'I am a tambourine.
Don't put me aside
till the fast dancing starts.
Play me some all along.
Help me with those little sounds.'
I understand it is the left brain which measures. The right brain is unmoved, rightly knowing there is no knowing what might grow exponentially or simply be a tiny act which may still change your or someone/something else's life immeasurably.
Love is immeasurable.
Just take the next step - giant or baby is irrelevant. What does that do to the fear?
